“Get a Job!”

The goal of the book cover was to create a dynamic design that illustrated the chaotic and daunting nature of securing a job. The cover needed to retain scalability as a thumbnail for viewing and purchasing via small digital device screens. By referencing the work of Dadaism and collaging techniques, a layered complexity was created to convey the job searching experience. The bold type of the title emerges as clarity in the chaos.

The task for laying out of the text of the book was to create a clear hierarchy for a variety of sections and subsections that was consistent yet interesting for the reader. Using the grid and margin’s structure to organize the variety of content allowed for clarity as well as distinct groupings to be created.
